Strips and Stars
Acrylic on paper, ink with serigraph
24x32in.
Strips and Stars in a mixed media from my Indigenous Horse Culture series, which I began during the height of the pandemic. Recording the impact women contributed to tribal culture is tremendously valuable. The stripes are inspired by the colorful contemporary ribbon skirts the women are creating and wearing.
